What is Orthokeratology?

Ortho-K involves the use of specially designed contact lenses that alter the shape of the cornea and reduce common vision impairments such as myopia (short-sighted) hyperopia (long-sighted) and astigmatism (blurry vision). The contact lenses are worn while sleeping, allowing you to be free of contact lenses and glasses during the day.

Ortho-K has been around for 35 years, however innovative new technology has improved Ortho-K, making the therapy more accurate in its purpose and providing patients with great results. The technique of Ortho-K is a safe, viable and reversible form of eye therapy – and essentially an alternative to laser eye surgery.
